Boys Cross Country Ranked #1 To Start The Season

Last year there were question marks in Class AA all the way to the finish line in the team races and though North Oldham’s boys return enough to be the clear favorite this year, there are big question marks on the both the boys’ and girls’ side as to who will end up where at the end of the season.

For the boys, North Oldham brings back enough fire power with Taylor Sanders, Justin Reonigk, Jeremy Rice, and Colin Grandon, to warrant the #1 ranking for the preseason. The fact that they not only have an experienced group, but solid times previously from guys like Ryan Kalmey, Nathan Yates, and Andrew Beno, tells us that they are deep enough to stay on top and will look to be even stronger this year. Beyond that, it will be interesting to see what athletes they pick up from the impressive middle school programs that Oldham County has grown and if any of those athletes will be able to contribute right away. All things considered, it will take a ton of work for any team to consider overtaking this group.
